Guided floor / slab capture → stitched image. Records video, sharp keyframe photos and phone sensor logs.
Lay a tape measure on the surface, hold the phone at capture height pointing straight down, read how much tape spans the short side of the preview.
Recording options
Stitching server
Needed only for the Stitch button after a capture. Recording works without it.
How to walk
Hold the phone sideways (landscape), then point it straight down. Keep the level bubble in the green.
Walk slowly in straight lanes. Keep the speed marker in the green.
Pause, then turn slowly at the end of each lane.
Each new lane should overlap the previous one by about half the screen.
Keep your legs, feet and shadow out of view: hold the phone out in front of you. Don't change height.
Finish by walking back over the start area (closes the loop).

How to use
1 · Once, before site
Open the app link with internet. After that it also opens offline.
Add it to the home screen: Share → Add to Home Screen (iPhone) or ⋮ → Add to Home screen (Android).
Tap Start camera and allow the camera. iPhone: also allow Motion & Orientation.
For stitching: paste the server address under "Stitching server" and tap Test connection.
2 · Before each capture (1 minute)
Give it a name and choose the surface.
Footprint check: lay a tape measure on the surface. Hold the phone at capture height, pointing straight down. Enter how many metres of tape span the screen's short side. The app then shows how far apart to walk your lanes, and the stitched image gets a mm/pixel scale.
Leave the tape in the area if you can. It's the ground truth for checking the image later.
3 · Hold and walk
Hold the phone sideways (landscape) at chest height, camera straight down, elbows in. Portrait works too, but the lanes must then be closer together.
Walk half your normal pace in straight lanes. Pause at the end of each lane, turn slowly, then walk back.
Each lane should cover about half of the previous one. Use the lane spacing from the footprint check.
Keep your legs and feet out of the picture. In portrait at chest height they fill the bottom of the screen, and the stitcher has to throw that part away. Hold the phone sideways, arm half-stretched forward. If you can see your shoes, push the phone further out. A selfie stick or pole is even better.
Keep the height the same, and keep your shadow out of view.
Plain or shiny floors (white tiles, fresh screed) give the stitcher little to match. Lay the tape measure, or a few sheets of paper with big marks, along your path.
Finish by walking back over where you started.
Keep each capture to 1–3 minutes. Split big slabs into overlapping sections.
4 · The banner
Short wobbles are ignored: a message shows only when a problem lasts (about 1 second). A few amber moments are normal. Red means fix it now. Change "Warning sensitivity" on the start page if it nags too much.
GOOD – KEEP GOING
Everything is fine.
PAUSED
You stopped. A good moment to turn.
LEVEL THE PHONEPOINT STRAIGHT DOWN
Camera is tilted. Bring the bubble back into the green circle.
A LITTLE SLOWERTOO FAST
Walk slower. Keep the speed marker in the green.
TURN SLOWERTURNING TOO FAST
Stop first, then rotate slowly on the spot.
TRACKING LOST
The app lost its place. Slow down and go back a little over ground you already covered.
HOLD STEADY – BLUR
Pictures are blurry. Move more smoothly, or find more light.
LOW TEXTURE
Plain surface. Go slower, and include edges, marks or the tape.
TOO DARKGLARE
Avoid deep shadow and shiny reflections.
STORAGE FULL
Stop, save your sessions, then delete old ones.
Bottom right: the coverage map. Red = seen once, green = seen 5+ times. Walk again over red strips inside your area.
5 · Stop, check, save, stitch
Tap STOP (the same button as REC). The summary opens. Good capture: Tracking OK above 90%, few red warnings, most of the map green.
Stitch on server uploads the photos and logs (not the video) and shows the stitched image here in 1–3 minutes. Tap the image to open it full size, or tap Save stitched image.
Save the raw data too: iPhone Share… → Save to Files; Android Save video + Save data (.zip), which go to Downloads.
If a button turns green ("Tap to …"), tap it again. The phone needs a fresh tap to save a big file.
If a red or amber box appears, screenshot it and send it.
